This Japanese Doll depicts Samurai
warrior with nice gofun face, hands and feet. He is in armor
with battle helmet - "Kabuto", and he holds a bow
in his right hand, and "Sai-hai" - the battle fan
in left hand.
Carefully worked out on a modeled and
carved wooden (kiri) body. Facial features are
characteristically modeled and delicately hand painted, and
hair fall on his shoulders. Also his feet are painted to
simulate tabi and sandals.
The Taisho period, Excellent condition.
