This Japanese figure of the Shinto deity Hotei represents the
god of good fortunes, satisfaction and trade. This sitting figurine is
exquisitely hand painted in enamel shades of light blue, rust, dark
blue, yellow and white. His body, hands and feet are left unglazed.
